The Dental Department Network of Yonkers Community Health Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to all their patients.







Starting with the initial visit and examination, they provide a comprehensive assessment of the patients dental condition, make a diagnosis and develop and implement an appropriate treatment plan.







Following visits include cleaning and the initiation of the patient's treatment plan.







The dental staff is composed of, Dentists, Dental Hygienist and Dental Assistants.







The Department has a diverse staff to assist their patients.







Ethnicities include Spanish, Turkish, Hindi, and Malayalam.







The Dental Department within our three centers, Mt. Vernon, Yonkers, and Greenburgh/White Plains offers flexible day and evening hours.







Their General Dentistry Department provides a broad range of services to meet your familys dental needs including:







Preventive Dental Care Oral Exam/Radiograph Study (mandatory at initial visit) Recall Exam every six (6) months Periodontal Scaling/Deep Cleaning Prophylaxis/Cleaning Restorative Dentistry Amalgam/Composite Fillings Extractions Root Canals and Crowns (limited) Partial Dentures Complete Dentures Dental care for pregnant patients consists on evaluation and cleaning; mainly, to educate patients on oral health care and pregnancy. Dental care for children starting at six (6) months of age and to educate parents on preventive dental carePATIENT CARE HOURS







The office hour for seeing patients at MTVNHC includes day and evening hours.















PATIENT REGISTRATION







Patients must register at the Center before receiving care.







This registration is completed in the Registration Office.







Registration personnel will request information regarding insurance (Medicaid, Medicare, or other insurance) so it is important to bring insurance information to registration.







For those patients without insurance coverage, registration personnel will also request a recent pay stub.







FOR APPOINTMENTS







Patients are asked to call and make appointments in advance whenever possible.







Appointments allow for reduced waiting time, prompt health care, and receiving health care from your assigned doctor.







Appointments are conveniently made by calling 914-699-7200.







You are asked to be on time for your appointments.







Late and missed appointments cause considerable inconvenience to all.







If you are not able to keep your scheduled appointments, you are asked to call the receptionist at 914-699-7200 twenty-four hours before the appointment to reschedule.







WALK-IN SERVICES







MTVNHC prefers that you make an appointment in advance of your visiting the Center.







The Center does however also provide walk-in services for those patients who need to be seen on the same day and no appointment is available.







Those patients will be seen on a first come, first served basis.







Emergency situations are handled immediately.







FEES FOR SERVICES







The goal of the Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center is to provide you and your family members with the best possible health care at the lowest possible cost.







Insurance cards from Medicaid, Medicare, or other insurance organizations are invited.







The Mount Vernon Neighborhood Health Center also has a sliding fee scale for patients without health insurance coverage so that quality care is provided to all patients without concern for the ability of the patient to pay.







The sliding fee scale is individually adjusted according to family size and income.

    I've been to this clinic.I had fillings work. I had a cleaning. I had an extraction. I needed a root canal. I needed a crown. I had an emergency. This clinic was completely free. The staff was friendly. I waited several hours I dont really comment on anything, but this i had to so i had an appointment with the dentist and i waited 5 hours to be seen for 10 minutes with no options just to remove all my teeth, i know i can have root canals, fillings, even a bridge, but nothing. I have sjogrens syndrome which many dentals have no ckue what it is, and i have lupus nephritis. I take many medication and i had 6 months treatment of chemotherapy. My doctor send me to get help with this community center thinking i was going to get atleast some results but again no help. All they do is a clean up to some individuals. Only the secretary was nice to me.
