The Community Health Development Dental Department is fully equipped to meet the needs of you and your family with ten dental operatories and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities.
The agency’s dental staff not only provides services at the new campus, but also provides outpatient and emergency care at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.
The Dental Department works with various entities throughout the community to ensure that special populations, such as children under the age of five, the elderly and veterans, receive vital preventive and treatment services.
Like all CHDI direct care services, dental examinations and treatments are provided on a sliding fee basis and they accept most insurance plans, including Medicaid and CHIP.
Monday and Wednesday, 8:00 am - 7:00 pm.
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.
CHDI’s mission is to continuously improve the Nuestro Bienestar (Health and Well Being) of the community we serve. This includes individuals without any form of health insurance, the underinsured, and individuals who receive public insurance. During Calendar Year 2016, approximately 54% of the 10,238 individuals served by the agency had no form of health insurance, 20% had Private Insurance and 79% were 150% and below the federal poverty level.
