East Texas Community Health Services, Inc. (ETCHSI) is a private, not-for-profit corporation established in 1987 by a group of committed community members to fulfill the mission of providing health services to medically uninsured and underserved residents of rural East Texas. Over the intervening years, ETCHSI has grown into the largest multi-specialty primary care practice in a 50-mile radius of Nacogdoches, TX. ETCHSI has been led by only two (2) Executive Directors/CEOs and has had one former Board member serve in the Texas House of Representatives for the last 14 years. Our Board certified providers are committed to assisting patients learn to live more healthfully, to establish health related goals, and to take increased responsibility for their own health. ETCHSI’s health care delivery is based on our mission of preventive and primary care services through a provider panel using a family practitioner, a pediatrician, an obstetrics/gynecology practitioner, family nurse practitioners and pediatric nurse practitioners. Medical services are provided at a newly remodeled Eastside Community Clinic. The remodeling not only improved patient flow but also is increasing patient satisfaction Our dental department, which provides primary oral health care services, currently has two full-time dentists and one part-time hygienist in Nacogdoches.
