OHI clinic partners include ten nonprofit community health centers that provide oral health prevention, education, care coordination and dental treatment services at approximately 24 dental clinic sites.
Imperial Beach Health Center offers primary health care including behavioral health counseling, on-site lab services, and wellness activities.Our clinical staff includes board certified physicians, family nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives and a registered nurse. Case managers help patients make and keep appointments, understand their conditions, and take responsibility for their health.
Imperial Beach Health Center (IBHC) works closely with Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista and Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego for hospitalizations, diagnostic testing and specialty referrals.

Adult dental services are provided only to clients on County Medical Services (CMS) or through the Health Care for the Homeless program. Does not offer orthodontia services.

If you are not in one of these programs, we can still help you. There are other funding sources you may be able to use, including our “sliding” fee scale. (A sliding fee scale means that you pay based on how much you earn.) To meet with a patient services representative, please call (619) 662-4100.

La Maestra Dental Clinics provide a wide range of comprehensive oral health care services including free screenings, diagnostic, preventive and restorative procedures, Endodontics, Periodontics, prosthetics, and oral surgery. The staff at La Maestra provides linguistically and culturally appropriate education and information to patients about the importance of good oral health and work with primary care providers to assure continuity of care.
La Maestra serves those that need these services most and will not turn anyone away. The dental program serves all ages. In the past 16 months, La Maestra Dental Clinics has provided 5846 patients (21,265 office visits) over 62,000 procedures.

Offers free or reduced cost emergency dental care for children of families with limited resources through a network of pro bono dentists. Also offers preventive services, such as sealant clinics, in neighborhood-based programs; Information and education for parents, children, educators, care providers and community-based organizations and agencies; and technical support and community mobilization.
Intake: Referral from school nurse, health assistant, health clinics, and community agencies.
Eligibility: Children ages 5 to 18 years in urgent need of dental care (pain or infection). - Child must be receiving or be eligible for free or reduced school lunch- Without resources for dental care (this means no insurance, including Denti-Cal).

The dental clinic provides general dental services. Medical and dental services are available only for St Vincent de Paul residents and residents of shelters that belong to the Consortium. Appointments are required for prenatal, psychiatric assistance, and dental care. The eye clinic is served by a volunteer ophthalmologist and a volunteer optometrist. Some donated glasses are available. Ancillary services include pharmacy, lab, and medical case management.
No age limitations. As of 12/14/04 and for the indefinite future, both the medical and dental clinics are only providing service to St Vincent de Paul residents and resident of shelters belonging to the Consortium. Homeless persons may be able to receive services on a standby basis.

Provides short-term case management services to homeless patients of the clinic. Vision Care Services. Case management services include bus tokens for medical appointments, assistance in completing forms, and referrals for emergency food, clothing, social services, and obtaining an ID. Free transportation to healthcare appointments at Family Health Center clinics is provided to homeless patients, Mental Health, Dental services, and Case Management at selected sites only; coordinate with the assigned case manager/social worker.
