Harrisonburg Community Health Center offers affordable health, dental, behavioral and womens health care through the use of the sliding fee discount program to uninsured and under insured qualified individuals and families. Eligibility is based on family size and family income. The Sliding Fee Discount Program Scale is based on the annual definition of federal poverty provided by the Department of Health and Human Services.

For patients eligible for sliding fee discounts, there is no charge for lab visits regardless of the number of tests completed at that visit, unless the patient also has commercial insurance. I have been going to this clinic for about three years now. Because I cannot afford a dentist. It is based on your income. Although I don’t understand exactly how they do it. It does depend on the dentist that you get as to what services are provided to you. Not supposed to be that way from what I understand but that’s the way it works. Also, it takes forever to get appointments. I am not happy with this clinic at all. It is very clean and 99% of the people that work there are very nice.
